<Moss Graffiti> is a contemporary art project integrating painting, sculpture and light into a single surface, extending moss art — a living natural material — as a painterly medium and using the light projected upon it as another kind of brushstroke. The portrait of Jimi Hendrix goes beyond likeness, rendered as a painterly scene that visually translates density of sensation, rhythm and energy. The texture and uneven surface of moss dismantle the limits of flat painting, continuously absorbing color, movement and temporality through projection mapping. As a changing painting rather than a fixed image, the work blurs the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, the material and the immaterial, generating a new sculptural language.
