남화연 <태평성대>

<Taepyeongseongdae>, by the dancer Nam Hwa-yeon, renders the image of an era of peace and prosperity in the language of Korean traditional dance. aplan-company handled stage direction and video documentation, composing the work so that the breath of the dance and the light of the stage move as one current. While the form of the traditional dance was preserved, lighting and stage composition added a contemporary sensibility. The density of the staging was calibrated to the points where the dancer's movement reads most clearly. A work that carries traditional dance into today's stage language.
